PODIUM AND STN TO AIR TOP TWO SPLITS OF 2021 eNASCAR ROAD TO PRO QUALIFYING SERIES

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Mar. 4, 2021) – Podium eSports and STN have partnered to broadcast the top two splits of the 2021 eNASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series for the first time ever. Podium returns to air the top split for the second season running, while STN will debut coverage of the series’ second split. The season begins tonight at 9 p.m. ET from iRacing’s Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The eNASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series is the first step on the ladder to the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, iRacing’s top-level eNASCAR series and the most competitive stock car sim racing series in the world. In 2020, over 1,000 drivers competed in at least one race throughout the season. The top 20 in points moved on to the eNASCAR Road to Pro Contender Series, of which 13 eventually advanced into the 2021 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

For the 2021 season, the eNASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series has been reformatted into two separate rounds. Round 1 will consist of 8 races open to everyone holding an Oval Class A 2.0 License or higher, and all splits will be based upon iRating. After 8 races, the top 70 in points will progress into Round 2. The second round will consist of seven races across two splits. Drivers in Round 2 will be snaked into their respective splits, which will be run simultaneously.

“The eNASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series is arguably the most important series to iRacing’s oval community, and we are proud to bring the action to the fans at home for another season,” said Podium eSports’ CEO James Pike. “We look forward to telling the stories of the drivers and following the journey to the Contender Series.”

“The reformatting of the Qualifying Series places more emphasis on the second split than ever before, which is why STN has decided to join the coverage of the 2021 eNASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series,” said STN owner Zack Johnson. “We look forward to introducing the iRacing community to the level of broadcasting that STN has to offer.”
